Well, this thread is over but I'll end it on this. You're crazy if you think Robotech or any of those other shows had any effect on American animu fandom. Protip: The only 2 shows on that list that had any effect was DBZ and Sailor moon. Hence the reason why DBZ is still airing nowadays. Hmm, if Robotech is as influential as you claim it is, why didn't Toonami ever put it back on in the 2000 - 2008 era? DBZ became the most popular show on cable for the kids and teen demographic. Which basically means it was one of the most popular shows on TV. Naruto is this generation's equivalent of DBZ.
