Not speaking about chinks specifiically here but sometimes it's just incompetence or not affording better and sometimes the customer actually wants fake looking shit because it's somehow a point of pride to show off they did or could afford something like that. In the case of China it seems looking fake is a merit or otherwise their idols wouldn't look so freaky.

Considering her height, RaMu's proportions are actually pretty good. If you didn't know tall she was or see her next to someone else you probably wouldn't guess that she was as tiny as she is.
