Anon, as someone who travelled to Japan and even went to places most tourists don't care about, I'm sorry to tell you this: most japanese girls aren't cute like you see on the Internet.
They are very average and most bellow it. They aren't ugly per se.
Reminder that JAV and social media is a very curated place (only the best pics of the best girls with the best filters and makeup etc etc)

Anyway, after that experience I now prefer my girls to be homely, something closer to reality.
