Nao's not in a much better position, given how much her story came to a standstill after Part 1. She basically has everything she wants in '83, and the story never spares much thought to how she obviously can't stay there forever. It's just "Rena Rena Rena" all this time.
The first Umineko event tried to give her some more depth, but most stories involving her is just her being a huge pervert towards Rena, and the joke is starting to stretch really thin.

It's almost bizarre how poorly the main trio are handled, despite ostensibly being the main characters. It's as if they barely spent any time thinking their character arcs through.
