Natsuhi's design on Beato would be so strange. I can see why Ryukishi decided to change it. At the same time, seeing this elegant-looking woman be so crude and vile would have been pretty hot, and seeing her have lots of cute moments with Battler would also be great, although perhaps it's only due to the context that the design would end up being used for a prim and proper lady that makes that idea so attractive.
