So tomorrow JAXA will launch the Akatsuki spacecraft probe on it's journey to Venus along with the Ikaros experimental solar sail. If the Ikaros solar sail works it will prove that solar sail propulsion works potentially revolutionizing space propulsion.

This of course would have nothing to do with /jp/, if it weren't for the fact that the Akatsuki Venus probe has(A LOT) pictures of Hatsune Miku on it.
