It's funny to see how quickly any bit of writing involving Roomeme quicky spirals into hundreds of people getting killed and eaten. Imagine if Rumia's power was so intimately woven into the fabric of gensokyo, that any disturbance to her life will ineviteably cascade into massive consequences. Not necessarily bad ones, but it's interesting to think that Rumama is secretly the lynchypin of gensokyo, explaining why she was *sealed* instead of exterminated.
