Does anyone remember this? It was announced to be the basis for Sotsu's next line of merch with acrylics and such, then suddenly nothing. And we got the Satoko and Rika figures and some cheaper Higurashi Mei merch announced AFTER this, so it's not like Higurashi is even dead. It's just this image that ended up unused.

Yeah, although the anime is really inconsistent about it. 11 years old Satoko and Rika have the same height, but 12/JC Satoko and Rika already have a noticeable size difference in spite of even Rika clearly being taller than before too. And then Satoko grows even more in her high school design, while Rika is left behind further.

But then some scenes try to make them closer in size for mirroring shots or to show how they're shorter than the older club members (even though for the older club members, they don't actually draw new character sheets for them outside of the 88 college designs, they just look the same from 83 to 87 outside of new outfits, which is probably what led to the inconsistencies).
