The Teppei-Satoko fire extinguisher is obvious too. In fact, if the interpretation where successive generations repeat their parents' actions is correct, the fact that Teppei did the same things that Keiichi did implies some kind of direct link between them. Perhaps with Satoshi in the middle? That begs the question. Could Teppei be Satoshi/Keiichi's father, or was he reborn as the son of one or the other? If Teppei is Keiichi or Satoshi's son, then his happy end in Sotsu is a result of him being recognized as a true heir.
