Why? Surely my opinion holds no significance. Considering there are millions of people who spend their precious money on the next Call of Rehash - Modern Déjà Vu each and every year, it's not like you will ever have to know the feeling of seeing your favorite genres die because it's much easier to make a shitty, unoriginal money-printing brown-bloomy World War FPS than spend years to create a good RPG / Action-Adventure.

The last shooter I played was Bioshock, and I enjoyed it. Why? Because it wasn't a generic piece of shit. But of course they had to follow it up with a carbon-copy sequel. Please note that I don't blame the developers for this, but the people who keep buying the same stuff over and over. Originality and revolutionary ideas are cast aside because you can get away with releasing the same game again and again. "But DHAF, I like these games!". Well, you SHOULDN'T. It's like saying "I enjoy dumping radioactive waste into the ocean". By doing what you do, you ruin everybody else's shit so you should stop it at once.

I hate multiplayer. It's usually just a tacked-on feature since, for some reason, every game nowadays "needs" a multiplayer mode, whether it makes sense in the context of the game or not. Either that, or it is used to give developers an excuse to create short singleplayer campaigns. But how can you blame them, it's not like the ADHD shooter crowd would appreciate an engaging story with interesting characters and plot twists. Most of the time, they don't bother with the single player mode at all.

This happens every time I go to the archive and look at the threads from last year.
But honestly, it isn't the same anymore. Nowadays, these threads feel desolate. It's just you and me and the occasional troll post. I don't think there is a point in continuing like this.
Despite the fact that there is not much going on, I still refresh these threads way too often, distracting me from other things. And although this is somewhat embarrassing to say, I often find myself getting up early on weekends to bump the thread.

Oh well, I'm not even sure where I'm going with this. And knowing me, I will probably change my mind again by the end of the week.
