>Not sure what this other point is. Is getting some job by making an interviewer's dick hard the main event in determining all future life?

It was just an example of how significantly powerful luck is in determining everything that happens someone's life.

>i doubt the somalian just stopped and said "oh shit, i got a bad hand compared to that New York graphic designer - damn I'm so unlucky. time to just stand around and get gunned down".

You're missing the point and paying too much attention to the examples. It's not about what the individual thinks about his luck, it's about how luck affects you before you were even born. Born retarded? That one is purely luck based. Luck will continue to affect you till you die.

Most people don't literally cry to death, but they do give up hope and just "live to death" if they couldn't take lady luck's bullshit anymore. No more dreams or aspirations. Then they win the lottery.

> I'd be throwing my cards in the air, flipping tables, walking out and at least trying to live the life i want.
That's what I call "delaying the inevitable while pissing everyone off". Not exactly something that mildly interests me. I'd rather accept my fate and lose gracefully than "go out with a bang". Also I'm not into reincarnation, I'm into determinism. The inability to change your fate while simultaneously having no idea what tomorrow will bring creates a sense of loss of control. Coupled with several mental illnesses and you have one useless bag of flesh - me.
