That doesn't even matter as you can include functionality from both in the same device. Seriously, do you think it's not going to get supported or updated *at all* with new stuff for 3000 dollars? You can have it have a vocaloid-ish voice bank in there to read you the news if that's so important to you, and you can have the pre-recorded lines, AND it can still be a perfectly functioning smarthub like Echo with the hologram projector on top of it.
