These two look so much cuter with black eyes. Giving them blue eyes (which were reserved to purely magical characters) ruins a really cool visual detail.

It also fucks up their color palette. The whole point of their designs is making these furniture appear grey, hopeless and subhuman. Incomplete in some way. This is why their outfits are black and white with only a few dark red parts. Adding blue eyes into the mix kinda ruins the cleverly chosen color scheme.
