OP, what was your favorite era of Japanese history?

Does the youth over there even care about history or tradition anymore, or don't they care? Every time I hear about the youth culture over there, I feel kind of sad for the older people.

Is it just the older people & extreme right who dislike foreigners, or is it pretty much everyone?

Is there a particular type of foreigner that the people over there especially loathe?
