I don't know, Shu has never gone into much detail about it, but she doesn't sound very supportive at all. Just from what I remember her saying on a past nico program:
>at seventeen Shu was determined to follow her dreams and move to Japan to pursue voice acting work
>her mom was (understandably) upset that Shu wasn't going to finish university and get a stable/traditional job
>managed to secure a couple of auditions while still living in Australia, decided to leave for Tokyo in around a weeks notice
>parents ultimately refused to support her financially at all, she was forced to spend all her part-time work money she's been saving since her teens on her trip and housing
Might be presumptuous, but it doesn't even sound like they talked very much to each other after she moved. It's great if they're on better terms now though.
