I really like the idea of a theme, it's adorable that you guys have the food thing going on for your girls. It's also something that keeps them connected in a way. So I'll definitely have to think about what I could pick.

Guess I project onto lifeless objects really easily and just know that if I allowed it, I'd take it too far in no time.
Plus I still have insecurities about getting into bjds in the first place, since I have my roots in regular action figures and went from 1:12 Star Wars to Figuarts to dolls in under a year.

This is gonna sound maximum autistic but on weekends my best friend would come over and we'd set up huge dioramas and play out some made up stories with the figures (he's 26 and I'm 27). It was the best of times but it stopped almost two years ago since we both got really demanding jobs and he shortly after developed depression. I haven't shown him the dolls I got since but I'd love nothing more than to introduce him to this hobby too and maybe give him one to help distract and give him something to care for. But I'm scared that regardless of him being as enthusiastic about figures/playing, this would cause a rift instead of help us bond again. Not sure I'll be able to embrace this hobby fully without sharing like I used to either.
I know this is bare-bones info, but could any of you help out with suggestions?
And holy crap, sorry for blog post...
