Marisbury Animusphere (or MALICEbury) is the Lord of Astromancy, age unknown, holder of the third Atlas contract, created Chaldea, the Fate system, rayshifting, demi Servants, and a lot of shit. Including LAPLACE, a system that records everything, and a pseudo conceptual celestial body called CHALDEAS to simulate history and the future in 100 years to detect threats. But this globe was a real planet all along, Earth 2.0. That's why Daybit gambled with a star eater.

We don't know exactly his goals or reasons, but I can tell you that the whole "he wants the root" is bullshit. He never says he gives a single fuck about the Root, the Animusphere family might have, but Kirei says "that childish dream ends" with this. Lord El Melloi Adventures make clear those the Root was never the endgame or goal for mages, but means of ends to advance magecraft toward the future after the Ages of Gods with the death of mystery, but other groups and magecraft forms don't give a single fuck about it. And most old families of western mages don't either: they care about their Grand Orders. The Root, in some cases, are means to an end to those, but not what they give a fuck for.

Before he shoot his own brains out, Marisbury said "My Life or the security of the Human Order? Well, that goes without a question." So we can give an educated guess that's what he wishes: the security of the Human Order. It may be at the expense of the universe to ensure it. Daybit said "everything become hollowed." Andthe celestial bodies becoming hollow are in their family spell. His pupil, Kirschtaria Wodime, demonstrated Astromancers' ideal magecraft is not to divine the future through celestial bodies, but to control them and use them as a magic circuit; they can use and manipulate the cosmos for real, but their magecraft got downgranded in the Age of Men. In his case, he could utilized what belonged in Olympus Lostbelt firmament as his magic circuits. Now Marisbury has the map of all the real universe thanks to Daybit's grand order to be a good helpful human. Tie this with Arc line in the beginning of the crossover manga that was meant to foreshadow all this shit: that humanity's progress (evolution) would destroy the universe. Basically, Type Moon phase 2 (Nasu's capeshit words) is consumerism and he included FGO into the three works he explores this (started with Mahoyo, touched it on TsukiRE briefly, and concludes in FGO).
