it's mainly about sayo's conflict within herself over who she loves 'more', with battler getting taken out of contention because he's not 'attainable' and shannon winning in the end because she thinks her love for george has stronger roots to it compared to kanon's love for jessica, which is entirely on a "we'll figure it out as we go" basis, not nearly as strong as the love she has genuinely formed for george over the years
of course, then it gets made abundantly clear that her love for battler supersedes the rest anyway when beato is 'resurrected' out of sheer fucking bullshittery and comes barging in to fuck over erika's wedding while kanon sacrifices himself to save him, which you could kinda interpret as her acknowledging her feelings for him coming back the second she heard he was returning, but at the same time i feel like it overshadows george's love 'winning' entirely so i've never been too keen on it, even if it tries to dust it off with a "oh but look, beato has blessed their relationship! it's all good!" like beato isn't clearly meant to be the closest to what yasu was actually like and both loves can't co-exist anyway so the relationship would've been thrown right out the window if we weren't in magic land by this point
i'm not much of a fan of how the yasu split in the golden land completely removes that conflict in case you couldn't tell

What music do you put on when playing the visual novels? I like playing some smooth jazz.

I still haven't finished Umineko. I completed the question arcs back in the day, then sort of forgot about Umineko thanks to irl crap. I don't know if I should actually bother and finally finish reading it, since I've been thoroughly spoiled about what happens.
