Yeah, ya gotta budget, man. At least you can count on AmiAmi's calling in the money at the end of the month. The one drawback of Hobby Link's policy is you have to pay for your preorder as soon as it is in stock and the grace period is only 3 days. This can be tough, but AFAIK they're pretty cool about extending the grace period as long as you don't make a habit out of it. Then you can elect to have it shipped at that time or stored in your Private Warehouse.

It's funny because when I first started doing a lot of preorders in 2004/2005 (before then most of my stuff I acquired by proxy) I used AmiAmi exclusively because their customer service was really good.

Hobby Link, on the other hand, was TERRIBLE with their customer service. They were straight up rude if you asked for any concession. But when you hardline someone who has been a good customer for years you're making a decision to risk alienating that person.
