If you have a job you can get more slots, sure, but if you dropped your job you could dedicate some 40 extra hours per week to your shipgirls. It's a very fair trade. If you can leech off from your parents and government benefits like any good NEET, you can still buy the slots and even some KanColle merch.

It's hard to see into the future... Keep in mind that the world is currently in tensions never seen since the peek of the Cold War... Thermonuclear armaggedon could happen any day and if war between Russia and China against NATO and their allies Tokyo *will* be nuked, even if tactically. That not only spells the destruction of KanColle, but possibly all of anime and even the whole world. Even if there is no thermonuclear war on a global scale, we know North Korea has at least three nukes, and three big neighbors they can aim those at - China, South Korea and yup, you guessed it, Japan -. So just on the grand scale of things there are a lot of variables... Personally this is the second thing I'm the most paranoid about aside from death itself, WW3 is very possible and imminent if world leaders don't play their cards in a very humanistic way. If there is no WW3, there's still a risk of a major economic crisis in the 10 to 30 years. US debt keeps growing and nobody knows how to pay that. If the US defaults, the whole world is going to shit. And guess what happens when there is an economic crisis? The first expenditures that are cut off are those with entertainment, that's where KanColle is in. Also Japan can experience a huge earthquake at any given moment that would devastate Tokyo instantly, a tsunami too. But if we assume that no war, no economic crisis and no natural catastrophe will destroy this era of unprecedented prosperity in human history - specially in Japan - then I think it's safe to say KanColle will stay exactly as it is at least for another 3 years and up to 8 years, with a few additions like merchandise and spinoff games such as the arcade. After 3 - at worst - and 8 - at best - years, we'll start seeing major changes. That's when KanColle will be hugely industrial, appealing more to Western audiences and thus lowering its standards and overall franchise quality. The fanbase will destroy the franchise more and more. Eventually it will have completely changed from its original roots, even if still is technically the same thing... Think of Mario the plumber or PacMan. Does it still exist? Yes. Is it as popular as in the start? Yeah. But is it still the same good old Mario? Nah.

I'll repeat myself: throughout all of History, Japan has always produced higher quality land forces than Russia.

Think of it for a second before spitting out the latest spicy meme you found on some board like /his/ or [s4s].

Just think.

Ancient Japanese land forces: existed.
Ancient Russian land forces: didn't exist.

Middle Ages Japanese land forces: no more no less than the highly moralized, skillful, trained, armed, armored, equipped, organized and cunning samurai in their various forms: katana, yari, naginata, bow, even matchlocks and fucking cannons.
Middle Ages Russian land forces: horsemen with organization on pair with Huns and Mongols.

Modern Ages Japanese land forces: basically the same as Middle Ages with only a few improvements because of the Tokugawa Shogunate
Modern Ages Russian forces: heavier armor axes and shit, this was the only time Russia almost caught up with Japan in terms of land based forces

Early contemporany Japanese land forces: highly westernized armies that overthrew the same shogunate which was made up of the extraordinary samurai in under a year.
Early contemporany Russian land forces: ill equipped grunts that costed one fifth of the Japanese equivalent soldier, so disloyal they attemped to overthrow their government many times prior to the Bolchevik revolution showing that not only are they disloyal but also ineffective even for a fucking coup

Middle contemporany Japanese land forces: the brave Japanese soldiers of WW2 who would fight for weeks in the trenches of the islands of the Pacific, never surrendering, always courageous, despite being the least well fed army of WW2 and also the most prone to diseases and heat because of the Pacific
Middle contemporany Russian land forces: the USSR had to lose 15% of its population at the time to defeat Germany, an enemy that was already at war in another front and had a huge geographical disadvtange. Super disorganized, relied on sending so many of their own to die until the enemy run out of bullets.

Current Japanese land forces: Type 10 tank is only worse than Leo2a6+ and M1A2.
Current Russian land forces: their special forces consider it "mission successful" even if all hostages are killed.

Basically, throughout all of History Russia has acted like a super tall drunk guy who is dizzy and always about to fall on his own when Japan is that short Asian guy who knows his shit and is always out of the way of harm due to his seriousness.
