>Touhou's popularity is fading.

Is this shitty meme still alive? I was in Reitaisai 2 weeks ago and it was packed, tons of people attended. The number of families were huge, not only were they having this middle school art event but I saw multiple groups of young people checking out all sort of goods. Touhou has already succeeded in passing the torch to the next generation, it survived long enough for parents to be introducing their kids to it and they are loving it. It's never going away. This is in stark contrast to stuff like Kancolle in which the events are primarily attended by adults and 90% of the content is porn, which is fine and all but that has zero staying power. Once another series comes with more attractive characters the community usually migrates over.
