I believe so, yes. It's not a black and white issue, but there's a difference between drawing a character and realizing that yes, maybe the original creator of that character intended for them to be a certain body type, or for them to not be sexualized, etc, but still drawing it a certain way because you want it to be different. And drawing a character while being ignorant of what the original character was meant to be.

Gosh, that was an ugly run on sentence. Anyway, my point being that artists who draw Marisa with blue eyes just don't know that she is supposed to have gold eyes.

Or maybe some of them are aware and draw her like that anyway. Either way it's not like I am in any position to judge them for it.
