Or, rather, she's quite different from KC's usual fare of human girl with monster parts attached. This seems to be KC experimenting with designs that mix the two together more, kind of like this.
I personally like both, especially because KC tends to make the monster parts quite good on top of enhancing the human parts, but it's exciting to see him... braving new frontiers I suppose. He's still seeing this as quite distinct from furry or kemono - just trying out higher monster percentages.
