Why does Japan try to be so cute all the time? I see a news report and they have fucking fluffy dolls on the counter, all subs are done in huge bubble writing with flashy colours. It's just every aspect is trying to be cute.

What happened to the pre-war Japan of mega badass and traditional culture?
