How about this. The color-changing theme in Ciconia Phase 2's preview was hinted at in Higurashi Gou. There were plenty of consistent color motifs in Gou, but this part stood out to me.
It reminded me of Ooishi and Teppei imposters with alternate hair colors. I kept the color motifs in mind throughout the airing of both Gou and Sotsu, but the resurfacing of the color theme in th Mei's Part 2 epilogue and the prominent use in Ciconia Phase 2 makes me think that this is playing a prominent role in something going on behind the scenes that may be revealed in the future.
