This is probably one of the better ways of doing it, especially if you are still on win7. Win10 you may as well set up a virtual box, given general compatibility issues that are going to happen anyway. (or dual OS with 7 and then use OBS on that again)

If your screen doesn't have a too big resolution, 800*600 is still okay. But pic related is getting harsh. Luckily, there's not that much out there worth playing, that's that bad. (and no, Ripple isn't worth playing, unless you are interested in every single game by its writer or something. It has its charm.. but that's about that.)
