On the other hand though, a two piece mask that closes by a hinge and clasp of some sort can yield a closer fit, and more closely resemble the natural size and shape of the wearer's head. Perhaps not a good idea if the wearer has a large neck, though. They made need that bigger kig to balance it out. Anyway, the closing kig would be a little more complex, more things to worry about, like hair fibers catching in the hinge or whatever device, but I think it would create a better all-around mask, and that could let you get more creative, say, with the kig's hair for example.
