I believe chinese printers are cheaper, yeah. That, and maybe they take a smaller profit margin. Japanese doujin artists are "non official" and their covers still cost 10-12k yen, just because people (like me) still buy them.
I don't have any Cuddly's cover (yet) so I don't know about their quality, but I remember some anon vouched for them. They're like a legit doujin circle (they produce their own art instead of stealing), so I believe they care more about quality than bootleggers do.
