Her full monster form is a tree with a halo. I don’t know why but if you want an explanation on why she is red and has angelic wings covering her face while posing with her fat butt like that it’s more on design: she is based on Beatrice from Dante’s Inferno. Her pose and the like takes cues from paintings of Beatrice Portinari.
Her role in the story itself is an allegory to Dante’s descent into hell as well as travel to heaven. In the Divine Comedy, Dante is guided through Hell by Vergil but when he goes to Heaven Vergil can’t go because he is a pagan so Beatrice takes that role. BA’s Beatrice has demonic traits like red skin and arrogance but likewise she has some angelic ones like the feathers, halo and value of knowledge. Her entire design is a play on how some things depend in the point of view and she calls out how Paradise and Hell can be the same thing but different among people. While invading her subterrean territory could be like descending to hell, at the same time is trespassing her paradise. While her subjects suffer, she herself is prospering, and while to (You) she may be a villain, in the bigger scheme of things she might actually have been a hero.
The value of a painting is in the eye of the beholder.
