hey /jp/, 25yo ausfag here with a question

i'm thinking of doing one of those 12 month teaching in japan thinggos. ive been told the best one is the jap foreign minstry's jet program (www.jetprogramme.org)

i just ended a long relationship and i want to do something different

i have the idealistic impressions of being able to help a bunch of awesome kids learn engrish, living in a tiny LDK in some mid-sized town, having weekends to myself, rooting a few japanese birds and being able to write.

is the jet program the best way to go? do i have the wrong idea about this?
