Whoever wrote this has absolutely no idea what winter is like. First off, it takes place in a wintery area, a place that’s used to getting large volumes of snow on a consistent basis every year. So where are the snowplows? Snowmobiles? Snow Blowers? or even at the very base-bottom scraping the barrel, where are the snowshoes? Skis? Shovels? One big thing I’ve noticed and irritates me to no end is there doesn’t seem to be public service equipment like backhoes, bulldozers, etc. Hell, there isn’t even trucks with snowplow blades. In this light, it was clearly written by someone who only has a basic, academic understanding of winter- that winter is cold and there is snow and that snow is inconvenient. There’s no sense that the writer knows at all what he’s talking about. Because it’s so discordant with what winter and snow are really like, I could not get immersed.

Seriously, about 95% of you haven't read it and you're already hating on the ending.

All of you should know by now that Umineko is very misunderstood if explained or spoiled by other people. You can only get the gist of it if you read it yourself.
So don't get all worked up on hating it or whatever if you still don't know by experience what happens in EP8.

what did that have to do with anything? do you know the first thing about me? of all of them I'd probably be the most normal there. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but it seems like it. I'll speak to Japanese people in Japanese and to english speaking people in English. I'm not going next year though because I am entering university next year to teach because that is what I want to do. just so you know, I am taking all the Japanese courses my University has available to me, and I am also taking at least one Japanese History course (history being my Major) in my third year which is when I plan on studying there.
