The archers are indeed overpowered in the TO remake and are very useful. Recruiting Ravness is pretty much a process that takes up much of the game and you have to take very specific choices to get her. One wrong dialogue choice over the course of three chapters will ruin your chance of recruiting her.

As much as I hold FFT to a high regard, I love TO more for it's gameplay, depth and difficulty.
