I don't know why Gou/Sotsu should alter anyone's impression of OG Satoko and Higurashi as a whole.
We've known for well over a decade that Rika would eventually turn into a remorseless, cruel witch and so would Satoko (less cruel though), yet nobody called out their original versions for this.
