how is posting a link to that website at the start of the thread, once per thread, every thread, spamming? the whole shtick of spamming is excessive multiple posting, which isn't what they're doing.

Such a fanfic would probably be more academic in tone. So, no big boys and replace "jewgold" with something about DARPA funding grants.

If I had the time and money, I would write the whole thing as part fanfic, part ARG. Insert telephone numbers linking to voicemails in footnotes via acrostic poems, hiding whole chapters in obscure pay-to-publish open access journals.

I wish political people would accept that some things just aren't meant to be politicized.
For instance, reactionaries and conservatives have been trying to "take back" science fiction. But instead of giving the fandom back to the people, they took control of it and used it to reward themselves with award nominations.
They've also been slowly working to encourage people to purge the fandom of degenerate content like pornography.

I used to trust the right to defend my liberties but these days I don't trust anyone who believes in politics.

How did you tell your parents that you were a NEET /jp/?

I am trying to build up the courage to tell mine but it's just useless I am too much of a loser to do it by myself.
Since I was little I was a complete failure. I had to drop HS and I have never worked a single day in my entire life. I always had everything given to me by my parents. I really don't know the meaning of the word "work".
My mom is in her late 60s and I am afraid the notice that I am a NEET might shock her so much she'd die. My dad would probably beat me to the death so let's forget about him.

But I want to do it.
I really want to. My parents deserve to know who I truly am. I need to do it before I become a wizard and off myself to gensokyo.
