It's quite possible that Aki-P made Keyaki because of the Olympics. He wanted to have a group there but AKB was waning in popularity while Nogi has a frivolous image and too many skeletons in their closet. He needed a group that was as popular with critics as it was with the general public, so he used his best songwriters, hired the best choreographers and then in an amazing stroke of luck found Techi. The timing is too perfect to be a coincidence.
