Alright guys, please gimme a little snippet of advice that you can.

I am American. I am not a twat American, however. I am going to Japan soon. I don't want to act like an American twat.

wat do? How can I let them know that I don't know the intricacies of their conduct but am trying really, really hard to do it right? Should I just straight up ask people "what's the polite thing to do???"
