Still no mention of mushroom men, so I think we can be fairly sure now that myconids don't do it to their mates.

Some other notable points from it:

1. The myconid wears no clothes, and the frilly stuff on her, the transparent second "skin" etc. is painlessly edible and grows back easily. The arm frills are especially tasty.

2. Matango store up their nutrients and don't move around much, causing most of them to be quite voluptuous compared to the petite myconid who use up energy running around.

3. That said, myconid still tend to have large breasts compared to their frame. Apparently they help act as shock absorbers when the myconids fall down.

4. Myconid went through a lot of potential colors, including a green "one up mushroom" color.
