Last time I posted this, it was a phone post and my computer was still broken, but now that I have a new one(computer) I feel confident in explaining in detail why I think Koishi should be excluded from the Finale.
Point 1, functionality: What would Koishi’s role be in the finale, as she is only listed as [undecided] but has no suggestions from anyone. If you like me, wanted to lore-fag it up about Buddhism, nothingness, and dreams she could reasonably be given the role as the person who handles Sekai, as is, in cannon we already know buddhist training allows you to lucid dream.or makes reality more like a lucid dream(?) She also shares the role of forgotten/non-existent girl with Sekai and no matter what would be familiar with how a child like Sekai thinks.
But this runs into the problem of nothing being written between the two, so it would come out of nowhere, and the fact that Patchy and Meiling already have the roles of people handling Sekai. also the term ‘mind ki’ literally made me gag when I read it, I have no other problems with Meiling’s and Patchy’s story.
Part 2, motivation: Why? Why would Koishi intervene, she hasn’t been characterized as being in particularly in love with Anon or obsessed with him, and I don't think it's been properly established if she she even knows about the HSE? I know another Anon did write something about her and Satori abilities and Yukari manipulating them, but I think that was immediately dropped and not even Yukari has referenced it since then despite being involved in it.
Point 3, interest: Unlike with other characters, Koishi doesn’t really have any audience demand, even one guy actually liked Cirno. But I can’t remember her getting any vocal love, even that other guy who wanted to write Koishi, Satori, and the Underground was immediately pushed back against and we haven’t heard from her since. So there is no audience demand, but what about authors? I don’t know and can’t say, but since nobody has written anything for her in such a time I suspect they aren’t that interested in writing about her either.
The fact is, she has no reason she’d be needed, has no motivation to be there, and has seen little interest from the writers, why is she on the list?
