I've had problems with procrastination, but after talking to a /jp/er about why I procrastinate, I figured out exactly why I procrastinate and how I can overcome it!

Since this is the blog thread, I will go into detail.

Basically, my childhood made escapism a very attractive thing. I was and still am a very heavy internet user. The biggest reason why I became like this is because my home life was pretty shitty because I had an abusive brother and school life was shitty because I've had one too many bad school experiences. My family is apathetic and the only real interaction i've had with them is my brother. I made acquaintences at school and I always had the traits of the kind of kids you never really made friends with (never showered, retarded class clown etc etc). So I had a lot of motive to indulge in escapism.

Whenever I am stressed I always go on the internet because it pretty much was and still kind of is the only positive thing in my life. So whenever I get stressed from any obligations I have, I just turn to the computer and thats where my procrastination and avoidance comes from.

So now whenever I feel that frustration, I stop and rethink about why I feel frustrated and I can cope because I understand exactly why I want to stop working. I can also think about when i'm really idle and I can get back to work!

Why is Touhou considered your spiritual outlet, /jp/?

And I hope you don't think spiritual means "tulpa wicca spellz im summoning the elements GHOSTS!" because thats superstition, not spiritual

I consider Touhou a very good medium when it comes to creative outlets. I wouldn't be so invested in the arts if Touhous wern't so relatable. Sometimes it even gives me motivation to get some work done.

Touhou always brings out the best in me!

Obviously Youkai behavior is all due to the oppressive human who keep them down. We should take Youkai from the ghettos and integrate them into normal human society. Their unique cultures will only enrich our own.
