That's because they're still childish. Buddhism is about holding people by their hand, dragging them to Nirvana, but thus frustrating them. Taoism is about growing by yourself, learning what desires you can let free and what desires you should keep in yourself.

Buddhism is shit, it's basically about locking your desires in you, until you have no more desires. In other words, until your desires, that define what you are, who you are, are destroyed.
Buddhism is basically about destroyed your self, your Id, in order to reach enlightenement. When you finally reach Nirvana, you're nothing but a zombie. You have no personality, no desire, no soul. You're just a husk, a hollow corpse that won't move because it has no motivation.


Remember when you were struggling to learn how to walk? Your parents held you hands, but in the end, you learned by yourself, and it changed your life. This is what Taoism is about, it's about discovering yourself, and discovering to love yourself.
Buddhism is just about scorning your weak self, and looking down on people that can't control their desires.

But desires are what motivate people to walk forward. Without the desire to discover, mankind would've never walked on the moon. Without the desire to communicate, Internet wouldn't exist. Without the desire to look at lolcats and wank, 4chan wouldn't exist.

Desires are what drives humanity forward. Casting aside your desires means giving up on yourself, rejecting what makes you human. Taoism is about learning what being human is, and transcending this.
