as far as hobbies goes it's the lower end of mid.
It's expensive to get started but unless you're one of those people who buys multiple masks and/or expensive outfits every year you'll probably be fine on an average income.

For example when I first started my initial plan was $28 for shapewear, $18 for pads, $58 for breastforms, $97 for a hada and then $563 for a mask. I did end up swapping the mask for a $880 one but frankly it turned out to be poorer quality than the cheaper one.

That was enough to get me suiting up in kig. after that I got an anti-static hairbrush, wig spray/conditioner, cleaning spray for the inside of the mask after use and some basic woman's clothes. All in all was probably around $100-ish for all of the above.

after that you kinda just need to make sure you've got the right products to clean your delicates, your mask hygenic and your wig tidy/styled. You'll probably also want to buy multiple hada eventually and you'll definitely have to replace them every year or so if you use them frequently.
