As an addendum to OP's point though, if you're not sure you'll like dolls at all, getting a smaller, cheaper doll can be a good first step. I always thought I wouldn't be able to properly take care of one and keep up with the maintenance, but still wanted one, so eventually I bit the bullet with my first small girl- and went apeshit into the hobby. Definitely don't break the bank beore you're sure you're into this, but if you're convinced, then save for the girl you want.

i'm back after like 3 years since i finally have the money to get my own girl. all the faceup artists i was interested in back then are gone or got worse though, anyone have any recommendations on english speaking faceup artists, preferably in north america?
