>See above, her "motive" is something that she was already experiencing during all those loops, i.e going back to 1983 each time. It makes no sense, and more importantly it's not a compelling drive for the plot.
The manga is clearly trying to make the reader feel bad for Satoko completely losing hope and just retreating to the past.

>She also said that she wanted to experience happiness again and yet the first thing she does is kill Rika in the middle of a game with the club (and having an intimate moment with her to boot), at least wait until they've gone back to St Lucia or something. Even if it wasn't 1983, that moment should still have fit her motive
The whole point is that she doesn't trust the future, while she has complete control over 1983 due to her knowledge from Rika's loops. So, she repeats the period that Rika looped in.

>That...doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
I mean, we know Rika isn't going directly against Satoko. We've seen in the Gou Nekodamashi that Satoko can repeat the infected too.

Everything would fit Meguri giving us Kai-like Answer arcs rather than what Sotsu called "Asnwer arcs".

The set up for their confrontation seems completely different, since after the gun Satoko doesn't seem to know Rika retained her memories.

Although the question is if we're going back there soon after the manga's Satokowashi counterpart or if it will retell everything like the anime.
