Oh no, it's not about sex, in groups like that it's usually just discussion, meeting people, and a way to feel supported and be in a safe place to be honest about those things. I've got a friend who goes to s/M meetups like that.

You shouldn't base other people on yourself, you'll never trust anyone that way.

Sexual deviance isn't abnormal, and shouldn't really be called deviance, imo. I'm not a fetishy person myself (most things I like are tame), but I'm familiar with people who are. You're not abnormal and you shouldn't feel that way. Everyone is different though.

I hate that we gotta insult each other, really. I was thinking about it and I should probably stop, it doesn't get anywhere. You've got a point, this anonymous format gives people plenty of power to lie as much as they want. But there's also times when people have no real reason to lie as well. Well, I suppose if you project yourself, you would find a reason.

Think of it like this: Why lie to a stranger? You have nothing to gain by looking better to them. In fact, I think I'm the most honest around people I barely know.
