She definitely sounds a lot better when she's not reading off a script or trying to emulate a character's voice. Some of the interviews/programs she's done with native English speakers really do well to demonstrate her skills compared to some of the other "fluent" seiyuu out there. Especially her comfort with conversational/natural English.
