From what I gather, she has "some sort" of relation to either Reimu, the clan Hakurei, or the Hakurei shrine itself, but that's it. That'd vaguely link her to the present dealings with the shrine, unlike a lot of PC98 characters that were one-shot characters more than the average touhou. There's no hint to what she is ("astral knight"? Is that a job or a race?), or what happened after Reimu went and beat her into a pulp.
It appears she just up and disappeared.
