As for the critical reception for the albums, I feel like they've been generally positive 5 for 5. But in saying that, they've gained considerable attention in the west over the last two eras, so maybe they've just had more critical response, not necessarily better response?

Many people (myself included) didn't really like COSMIC EXPLORER, probably because we're fans of their earlier work, and Nakata has gone full western stadium bass music mode. The ooohs and aaahs, the boring songwriting. It's just underwhelming compared to their first two albums.

from here. Enjoy every studio album era, be sure to watch all the content in the OP (Happy, Perfume no Chandelier House, Concerts, MVs...) it's a fun ride.

Next tour will probably be next album if they aren't slowing down.
