My biggest problem with Gou is that it makes Rika look like a fucking retard. Minagoroshi-hen's narration implies several times that Rika did actively try to prevent her death, the insanity of her friends or the GHD and failed numerous times. She's tried to convince Tomitake, hid herself until July before somehow dying anyway, there's the implication that Rena's dad can still fuck up anyway despite Rina never showing up or being dead, etc. I'd love for there to be a mini-series or arc just showing all of Rika's failed attempts because at the tail-end of her lifespan she's just given up and it gives the impression she's always never bothered to try when that's strongly implied to not have been the case.
