Which is why Nekodamashi is so cruel. Also, she's kind of melancholic in the final Neko world because she didn't want the game to stop, and a peaceful world is just boring to her by this point, not because she was tired of the killings.

I think it depends on the ending. If we do get a witch ending, I think people will be interested in how the manga will handle the characterization leading to that. However, if the ending is just a return to status quo people's interest will fade because everyone will know it's really going nowhere.
