Please /jp/.. I have nowhere else to turn.

I've torrented Wanko to Kurasou just recently with the English translation patch. This is pretty much my first time playing a visual novel, so I'm not so sure about any of this.

So after navigating through the moon runes enough to install the thing (all of my regional settings are set to Japan/Japanese just in case), the game doesn't display properly.

It opens the program up well, and then the entire screen is just black. I can navigate some settings at the top (video, text, etc) and can even right click it to see some save, load, quicksave, etc options. However, nothing at all on the screen happens, except for silence and black.

Please help

Wanko is probably the deepest VN ever created. The depth of the story goes beyond mere progression of the plot as the characters come to life on your very screen. To truly be able to appreciate the literary value of Wanko one must be familiar with the likes of Shakespeare, George Orwell and Richard Adams.

One of the most gripping social commentaries ever conceived.

No but seriously, I've never been into VN's, I tried Da Capo but it was kinda boring since I knew the story from the anime but the pace and incredibly cute 'animals' in this one is whats keeping me going.

Do you know anything like this that is translated?
